you see what the Dems do as "socialism", and the government-as-a-tool-to-keep-the-rich-rich as something else (I'm not sure what). The rich don't want free-market or true democracy. They want what they've got. And they didn't get rich without changing the laws to suit themselves. They have "socialism" for the rich, we have a facade of capitalism. Just take any issue, and watch the big money, eventually you'll see it.
